Data provided to Yicai today by Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, shows that from January to November 2025, China exported 17,099 vehicles to Venezuela, a 130% increase. Of these, 10,201 were passenger cars, a 166% increase, and 6,481 were trucks, a 99% increase.

Previously, according to information published on the Ministry of Commerce website, in October 2024, the Venezuelan newspaper El Banke and Commerce reported that Venezuelan automotive industry insiders predicted new car sales of approximately 17,000 to 18,000 units in 2024, which were expected to rise to 30,000 units in 2025, a 70% year-on-year increase. Roberto, a Changan Automobile dealer in Venezuela, also stated that Changan ranked third in the Venezuelan passenger car market at the time, and projected sales of 2,500 units in Venezuela by 2025, a 15% to 20% year-on-year increase. Website information also shows that JAC Motors held approximately 27% of the Venezuelan new car market share at the time, primarily producing pickup trucks and lorries. 95% of JAC vehicles were assembled locally in Venezuela, with a monthly assembly capacity of about 500 units.
Despite the relatively small overall market size in Venezuela, Chinese-made cars are in high demand in Latin America, with exports to Brazil and Mexico growing rapidly.
Data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) shows that from January to November 2025, among the top 10 countries for China’s total car exports, Mexico ranked first with 573,453 vehicles, a growth rate of 48%; Brazil ranked fourth with 285,122 vehicles, a growth rate of 31%, both exceeding the overall growth rate of 26% for complete vehicle exports.
