China’s automobile exports to Russia are accelerating.
From January to June 2026, China’s imports of passenger vehicles from Russia reached $6.24 billion, a 134.7% increase compared to $2.66 billion in the same period last year.
Not only passenger vehicle exports saw significant growth, but in the first half of this year, China’s truck exports to Russia reached $456.17 million, a year-on-year increase of 55.2%. Exports of auto parts also increased by 14.3%, reaching $1.19 billion.
In total, China’s exports of automobiles, trucks, and auto parts to Russia reached $7.89 billion, almost double that of the same period last year.
Furthermore, China’s total exports to Russia increased by 28.4% in the first half of this year, reaching $60.6 billion.
These figures indicate that automobiles remain one of the main drivers of Sino-Russian trade.
Despite the continuous emergence of domestically assembled automobiles and new brands in Russia, the Russian market’s reliance on Chinese automobiles and auto parts continues to rise.
